Terms for the student card

There are two different cards, blue and green. Blue card is for the full time students and green card for other students. You need a year sticker for the student card to be valid.

Terms for blue card

Student must meet ALL these terms:

  1. Student must study full-time in a university of applied sciences. Student must registered as an attending student.
  2. Studies must aim to a degree.
  3. Studies must take more than 8 months. Notice that if you are an exchange student and your studies in your own country takes more than 8 months, you can order the blue card.
  4. Studying is not considered as apprenticeship, labour experiment or personnel training.
  5. Student becomes a member of the student union of his/her own university of applied sciences.
  6. Student is committed to return the student card as soon as he/she graduates or in other other way does not meet these terms.

Terms for green card

  1. Student studies a university of applied sciences.
  2. Student becomes a member of the student union of his/her own university of applied sciences.
  3. Student is committed to return the student card as soon as he/she graduates or in other other way does not meet these terms.
  Notice that persons studying Open studies ("avoin amk") are not entitled to green student card.
