Foreign students need other students to help them cope with their studies and student life. As an international tutor you will be a friend and a guide. You might be the first person a foreign student learns to know in Finland and it is your job to make sure that the student finds important places and people.
International tutors gain new friends, learn to know different cultures, get international work experience and improve their language skills. In order to become an international tutor, participate in the training 13th and 21th of April in Oulu. International tutor training is free of charge.
Sign up for the training by 19.3.2010 to OSAKO´s member of the board Riikka Säärelä to riikka.saarela@osakoweb.fi Please, remember to mention your school, degree programme, contact information and special diets or allergies. In case of any questions contact your tutors or Riikka.
3 credits can be gained from international tutoring. Gaining these credits requires participating in the training, being an active tutor for at least a year and writing a report and a learning diary.
